Inside the network marketing industry, like a franchise, the more owners you have, the more customers are coming into your business.
With a franchise, there is massive overhead and massive risk each time you open a new location. Each person that starts in network marketing, however, is starting their own little franchise. They are taking the risk, not you.
You could literally make money around the clock with a company that is international, if you can create a team of customer getters and business builders like you.
When you get involved in network marketing, you have to start looking at business differently. This is not a sales job. You aren’t in this to make a one-time commission.
If you have a team, you are going to have more customers. For every one distributor, they are out there getting 4-10 customers. That’s a lot of people doing a little bit!
So, how do you get better at recruiting? Here are my tips.
Tip One: You’ve got to get excited.
Some people will claim they are excited, and I say, “You’ve got to tell your face.” If you’re not going live online, calling people, using the audio recorder on Facebook, or posting, how can we tell you’re excited?
If I connect with a complete stranger on Facebook and they want to start an at-home business, I know I have to get on the phone with them or at least use the audio recorder.
I need them to hear my tonality and my enthusiasm, because I can’t get them excited by by reading my messages. I would not get excited if someone sent me a paragraph about what they do. Would you?
Tip Two: Don’t chase or beg.
Persuasion and encouragement are one thing. Begging and chasing- Not Interested. It’s like dating.
You want to encourage and recommend, not beg and convince. Because if I have to beg and convince you to sign up, then I’ll have to beg and convince you to make a list, use the system, and go to events.
You’re looking for the hungry. The ones who say, “Tell me what to do”, not the ones who make you feel like you’re chasing and begging.
Most people don’t join after the first exposure. Follow up is crucial.
I personally use reminders to let myself know when to follow up with certain people. Most people aren’t going to pursue me and say, “Take my money”. It just doesn’t work that way.
I also use a follow up book. I list people I’ve exposed to my business. My goal is to load up this list every single day. On average, I’ll sign up 3-5 people per page. There are seventeen spaces.
If I’m signing up 3-5 people out of seventeen, shouldn’t my mindset be to fill up the page as quickly as possible?People overthink this part.
Stop getting so hung up on 2-3 people. Some will, some won’t, some wait, so what? Some watch. Some people won’t join you now, but they might join you later if you continue to grow your business.
Tip Four: Introduce the people you prospect to your upline.
Out of the last 10 people you prospected, how many did you introduce to your upline? How many did you group chat? Tools, systems, and other people’s stories are key assets to building your business.
Don’t make it just about you. If you’re constantly doing all the talking and answering all the questions, and a person says to you, “I can’t do what you do”, they are saying that because they just see you doing all the work.
If you do a three-way call or group chat and introduce them to others, you can say, “How hard would it be for you to introduce me to people?”.
The more simplistic you keep it, the more duplicatable it looks, and the more interested people will be.
Tip Five: You’ve got to get yourself out of the way.
If people ask how the comp plan works and you try to explain it in detail, all you’re doing is confusing them. Instead, send them a link or tag them in a video about the comp plan.
Do you see the mindset? You’re showing them how this works using the system and getting yourself out of the way.
